Kalayar; baduyut; gontang; Trichosanthes Pubera nyaéta tangkal nu ngarambat asalna tina kulawarga Cucurbitaceae. [1][2][3] Loba kapanggih hirup di Pulo Kalimantan, Pulo Sumatra, jeung pulo Jawa.[2][4]

Spesies séjéna katiténan hirup ogé di Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapura, Pilipina, India, Nepal, jeung Cina.[5][6][7][8][9]

Buah kalayar mah henteu bisa dikonsumsi, sanajan kitu areuy/sulur kalayar bisa dimangpaatkeun pikeun ngubaran ceuli torék.[1] Sulur atawa areuyna di teukteuk, geutah nu nyakclakanna tulus dikecerkeun kana liang ceuli.[1]

Ciri mandiri édit

Tangkalna/areuy ngarambat panjang bisa nepika 20 méter, gedé areuyna 2-5 mm.[2] Buahna baruleud kawas endog gedéna 4-6 cm, lonyod katungtungna 2-5 mm.[2] Buahna mimiti bijil kelirna héjo, mun geus manjing kolot/gumading robah jadi semu konéng, robah deui jadi beureum mangsa geus asak/kolot.[2]

Kembangna nokturnal, mimiti ligar mangsa surup panon poé tuluy kuncup deui mangsa panonpoé geus nyorot deui. [10]

Daging buahna konéng tur sikina hideung, wujudna lonyod gedéna 1-2 mm.[11] Kalayar kaasup kana pepelakan monokarposa di mana geus bérés buahan umurna tara lila sulurna sok paéh, bijil deui sirung anyar téh kaluar tina bonggol atawa beutina.[10][2]
